Life is born on earth and returns to it. If the earth has a face, then the stones are the teeth in the earth’s jaw. Placed open at two angles on the green grass dunes of the Green Belt. Its height is designed so that people, especially children, can play on the sculpture or sit on it or touch it with their hands. In fact, when the sculpture was placed in the Green Belt (with the help of a crane), children immediately began to play and climb on it. A special feature of this work is that the author, Kioto Ota, sculpted it in situ on the Green Belt during the 1st International Meeting of Public Sculpture in 2001, which was directed by Joan Llavería Arasa. The sculpture functions solely within a balanced relationship between the sculpture and the site. Artist: Kioto Ota Kioto Ota was born on the 22nd of April 1948 in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan.
